The Delivery Tool Playbook
The 4 ways we deliver value, ranked from our primary offer to the long-term vision.
This is our playbook. These are specific, targeted engagements where automation and AI deliver measurable value. Together they run under one name: The Shepherd — VisiCore's AI-accelerated delivery suite within the X10 platform.
For each engagement, we clearly define why the customer will pay and why we win (our moat against native vendor AI and frontier models).
What it is: AI-assisted delivery. AI helps draft complex data engineering work (like building data endpoints and collectors). Our senior engineers review the work and hit approve.
Why the customer pays: They pay for the outcome (e.g., migrating 50 data sources), but we deliver it in a fraction of the time, expanding our margins while delivering faster results.
Why we stand out: Frontier models can write code, but they can't execute stateful commands against a live Cribl Cloud environment safely. Our CLI acts as the secure, deterministic guardrail that makes AI engineering actually usable in production without hallucinating a production outage.
What it is: The flat-fee entry point. An AI-accelerated agent audits a customer's entire Splunk/Cribl environment to find cost waste, misconfigurations, and risk, returning a quantified dollar-saving report. (Includes automated Config Audits).
Why the customer pays: The assessment is designed to return 10× its price in data reduction and compute savings. It pays for itself instantly.
Why we stand out: Anthropic and OpenAI build general models; they don't have the deep, tribal knowledge of Splunk licensing, Cribl routing, or enterprise compliance. Our moat is our expert auditor (the human) reviewing the AI's findings.
What it is: AI spend observability. We use telemetry (OpenTelemetry/OCSP) to normalize data into an all-encompassing analysis of exactly where a customer's AI spending is going across the enterprise, gleaning value from patterns over time.
Why the customer pays: Just like Splunk costs exploded five years ago, GenAI token bills are exploding today. Executives are desperate to know who is spending what, and how to optimize it.
Why we stand out: Native vendors want you to spend more tokens, not less. We are the vendor-agnostic third party sitting between the data and the LLM, giving the customer the honest truth about their waste. It takes upfront human cost to map this telemetry, but AI makes it easier every cycle.
What it is: Automated architecture mapping. AI uses our CLI to crawl the environment and automatically map out exactly how data flows from source to destination.
Why the customer pays: Enterprise architectures are a black box. Customers pay to finally understand their own environment for compliance, migrations, and troubleshooting.
Why we stand out: You can't just ask ChatGPT for a diagram of your internal network. It requires deep, programmatic integration with the data pipeline tools—which we already have via our execution engine.
